Briefing: Female Condoms and HIV Prevention for Women: An Unfinished Imperative for Women’s Health

Women and adolescent girls are acutely affected by HIV and AIDS; yet most women still do not have access to the only available HIV prevention method designed specifically for their use—the female condom. UNAIDS has been a leader in calling for greater attention to female condoms and this briefing will highlight efforts to increase access to female condoms as a critical tool in a combination, rights-based approach to HIV prevention. Key findings will also be shared from CHANGE’s new publication, Female Condoms and U.S. Foreign Assistance: An Unfinished Imperative for Women’s Health.
