UNFPA Global Female Condom Initiative
Launched in 2005, UNFPA’s Global Female Condom Initiative aims to scale up female condom programming in at least 23 countries. It works with key government counterparts and other stakeholders to develop and implement a country-driven female condom strategy.
Universal Access to Female Condoms (UAFC) Joint Programme
UAFC, a partnership between OxfamNovib, World Population Foundation, I+solutions, and the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, aims to increase the availability of female condoms through advocacy and support for female condom programming, research, and development (R&D).
PATH Global Consultation on the Female Condom
The PATH Global Consultation, held September 26 - 29, 2005 in Baltimore, brought together experts to review evidence of the female condom’s effectiveness in preventing pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and to learn about program experiences in various countries.
